One person was critically injured Monday night in a single-vehicle crash southeast of Orcutt, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The rollover crash occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on Palmer Road just north of Dominion Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle ended up on its roof, about 75 feet off the roadway in a field, the CHP said.

The male driver and sole occupant suffered major injuries and had to be extricated from the wreckage, according to fire Capt. Scott Safechuck.

The driver was taken by AMR ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria.

His name and details on his condition were not available.

The crash was under investigation by the CHP.
