The Marjorie Luke Theatre will present Sweet Home Santa Barbara: A Night of Southern Rock, a fundraiser concert with the Doublewide Kings and special guests, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Marjorie Luke Theatre, 721 E. Cota St. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The audience will experience a guitar-driven, nostalgic celebration of classic Southern rock, featuring favorites from Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band, the Allman Brothers Band, and Outlaws.
The Doublewide Kings will be joined by a lineup of guest musicians, including George Friedenthal on keys; Bill Flores on pedal steel, saxophone and other instruments; and Claudia Taylor on flute.
The evening promises a lively night of music, dancing, and community spirit, all in support of The Marjorie Luke Theatre’s LED lighting project, an initiative that reduces the theater’s environmental footprint, lowers operating costs, and enhances the lighting quality for artists and audiences, organizers said.
“Our plan includes six phases of lighting improvements, and we have already successfully completed five,” said Kathy Kelley, development director of the Marjorie Luke Theatre. “This concert will help bring us closer to the finish line than we ever imagined.”
