Mary Josephine Weston passed away peacefully on Feb. 24, 2026 at the age of 94 at the Smith Health Care Center at the Samarkand. She was born in Wisconsin on Aug. 4,1931 to Stacy and Genevieve Woolston.

Married Edwin Weston in 1974, Mary lived a wonderful, fulfilled and active life with her husband until his passing in 2023. She continued being active until the day of her passing, and was a motivational force to all who knew her.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Grover Woolston. She is survived by one brother John Woolston (Bridgett) of Santa Ana, California; daughter Linda J. Tyson of Mariette, Georgia; step sons, Edwin P. Weston (Dana) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Dominic H. Weston (Kathy) of St. Clairsville, Ohio; grandchildren Guy Keir (Jennifer) of Atlanta, Georgia, Micah Scott Weston and Shannon Weston; great granddaughter Olive Keir; and several nieces and nephews.
Her career in accounting was very satisfying to her, and she worked at Motel 6, Sambo’s and El Patio Gardens.
Mary was an adventurous lady who loved doing different things, traveling, dancing, ushering, and loving life. She volunteered at the Granada, Arlington, Lobero and City College theaters, as well as the Music Academy of the West.
Mary was involved in Christian Women’s Club for many years and belonged to Trinity Episcopal Church.
A memorial and celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. March 10 at Samarkand. Burial will be at Shadyside Cemetery in Auburn Township, Ohio.
