The Solvang Festival Theater’s $5 million rebuilding project, which began construction in September 2021 and slated to be completed on July 5, will ensure structural integrity and safety, and includes upgrades to electrical, lighting and sound technology.
The project replaces the 47-year-old utility poles with new steel lighting columns, and completely rebuilds the rear wall and walkway of the theater that surrounds audience seating, increasing the wall height to over 16 feet. This will improve the audience experience by reducing wind and noise. The project also now includes installation of new seats, in Royal Copenhagen blue.
