Music & Meditation Santa Barbara continues its 2026 season with a program featuring harpist Laurie Rasmussen, 2 p.m. Friday, April 10 at Weinman Hall, Music Academy of the West. Doors open at 1:45 p.m.
An award-winning artist based in Santa Barbara, Rasmussen brings more than three decades of experience as a soloist and collaborator across classical, folk, and contemporary traditions.
“Known for her expressive tone and versatility on both pedal and Celtic harp, she has performed throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, and was a top prize winner at the Lyon & Healy International Jazz & Pop,” organizers said.
The program will open with a guided meditation led by Jessica Kolbe, inviting the audience into a space of stillness and attentive presence. The musical program follows featuring works by J.S. Bach, Gluck, and Debussy, alongside traditional melodies that highlight the harp’s resonant voice.
Music & Meditation Santa Barbara is an ongoing initiative founded by pianist Antonio Artese, dedicated to fostering connection, reflection, and well-being through the integration of live music and meditation.
