Patricia Ricketts passed away Aug. 16, 2024.  She had arrangements made through the Neptune Society, was cremated, and her ashes were spread in the Santa Barbara Channel.

Patricia was born at Cottage Hospital in June 1931 to Dorothy and Lloyd Albright.

She graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1949. She married Jean Anthony Ricketts in a ceremony held in Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church after graduation.

In 1952 her daughter Ericka Ann Ricketts was born. Patricia went on to college at UC Berkeley, where her son Chris Ricketts was born in 1953.

In 1957, the Ricketts family moved back to Santa Barbara. Eventually, Patricia and Jean were divorced. Jean passed away Jan. 3, 2003 in Santa Maria.

Ericka Johnson passed away Aug. 4, 2021 in Columbia, South Carolina, the day after her husband Vernon Johnson died.

Patricia and Jean Ricketts are survived by their son Chris; and grandchildren Heather Kamerman and Benjamin Kamerman.

Patricia worked for many years as a word processor for the Santa Barbara County Probation Department, from where she eventually retired. Patricia completed her college degree in sociology at UCSB, then returned to work at the Santa Barbara County Probation Department.

Patricia is predeceased by her parents Dorothy and Lloyd Albright; brother Lloyd Albright, Jr.; former husband Jean Anthony Ricketts; daughter Ericka Ann Ricketts Price Kamerman Johnson.

Patricia had a great affinity for cats, had many pet cats and rescued many cats giving them a comfortable home.

Patricia requested there be no service.
