PCPA offers week-long summer camps that teach young actors how to find the “play” in The Play.
The interactive, skill-building camps will offer young performers a chance to exercise social connection, curiosity and play. Echoing the high jinks of PCPA’s main stage summer shows, the camps are designed to tickle the funny bone and give comedy muscles a workout.
Through theater games, imaginative play, movement and music campers will explore the basics of physical comedy, comedic ensemble storytelling, and character creation. Young actors will work with current PCPA performers. No experience is required.
There are four sessions to choose from:
Session 1—Teatro PCPA (ages 8-12):
Monday, July 15-Saturday, July 20, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., $30 per camper
Campers must have a strong understanding of Spanish to participate in Teatro PCPA
Session 2—Clowning Around (ages 8-12):
Monday, July 22-Saturday, June 27, 9 a.m.-noon, $250 per camper
Session 3A—Just For Laughs Morning Session (ages 13-18):
