The Reef & Run ocean swim series started its season on Thursday with mile, 1 kilometer and 500 meter events.
Stewart Reid took first place in the mile swim in 22 minutes, 11 seconds. The first female in the mile was Karen Schultz in 25:48.
The 1K winner was Jake Ballentine of Santa Barbara High in 15:24. The female winner Andrea Bish in 15:44
Andrew Dixon swam 7:45 to take the 500-meter swim, while Sara Webb was the first female finisher in 7:59.
