San Marcos boys golf was the top finishing team in a four-way matchup with Dos Pueblos, Harvard Westlake and St. Francis on Monday at Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo.

The Royals combined for a team score of 369 to beat out St. Francis (382), Harvard Westlake (389) and Dos Pueblos (421) on the par-71 course.

San Marcos’ Andy Keenan secured the match medalist honors with an eagle in the 18th hole to card a three-under-par 68.

Keenan was followed by Royal teammates Austin Downing (73), Axl Wedhammar (73), Ethan Klawuhn (77) and Nate Duva (78).

“The guys are excited to be off to a good start and are looking forward to keeping it going,” San Marcos head coach Jeff Ashton said. “It’s been fun to get contributions out of all of the players at different times.”

Meanwhile, Connor Nightingale paced the Chargers with his score of 79. He was joined by Sam MacNaughton (83), Parker Hickman (85), Orlando Ramirez-Gijon (86) and Coulter Jay (88).

The Royals (5-0) will take on Valencia High and St. Francis on Tuesday at The Oaks in Valencia. The Chargers (2-3) will be on the road against Santa Ynez on Tuesday.
