San Marcos girls water polo split its doubleheader on the second day of the Bill Barnett Invitational on Friday at Newport Harbor High.
The Royals began the day with a 15-12 win over Beckman before dropping their second game to host school Newport Harbor by a score of 19-10.
San Marcos, which are now 2-1 on the weekend, will take on Foothill High on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
The Royals got strong performances from Charlotte Raisin and Bethany King against Beckman to pull out the high-scoring victory.
Newport Harbor dominated the early stages, jumping out to a 7-2 lead and fending off the San Marcos comeback efforts from there for the win.
