Another year, another Hall of Fame induction for Alex Mack.
Mack, who shined on the football field for the San Marcos Royals and graduated in 2004, was selected to the College Football Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2025 in his first year on the ballot.
The center was a dominant force for the Cal Golden Bears from 2005 to 2008, winning the Morris Trophy (Best Lineman in Conference) twice and the Draddy Trophy (NCAA’s top scholar-athlete).
He ended his collegiate career with three First Team All-Pac 10 honors and a pair of First Team All-American selections.
Mack helped the Golden Bears find plenty of team success as well, posting a 34-17 overall record and winning four bowl games in his four seasons of action.
Following his years in Berkeley, Mack was selected 21st overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2009 and went on to make seven Pro Bowls and was named a three-time Second Team All-Pro.
He had a 13-year career with the Browns, the Atlanta Falcons and the San Francisco 49ers.
The 2025 College Football Hall of Fame induction comes a year after Mack was inducted into the San Marcos Hall of Fame. He was named to the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Hall of Fame in 2023.
Mack will be officially inducted at the 67th NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec. 9 at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. He is the 23rd Cal Golden Bear to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Mack is the third Santa Barbaran to be named to the College Football Fame, joining Santa Barbara High alums Sam Cunningham (Class of 2010) and Randall Cunningham (Class of 2016).
