San Marcos freshman Shams Jahangir-Arshad took medalist honors with a one-under 71 at Sandpiper Golf Club Monday to lead the Chargers to a 404 to 527 boys golf win over Cabrillo.
“We had perfect weather and a great afternoon for our first league match of the season,” Royals coach Jeff Ashton said. “Shams had 5 birdies to take medalist honors and came a few inches from a hole in one on 18.”
Dos Pueblos stays perfect at 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in Channel League play.
