The Dons jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening quarter and held a comfortable advantage for the majority of the game. In fact, Luna Morancey scored with two minutes remaining to make it 11-7.

Camarillo then put a scare into Santa Barbara High with back-to-back goals to trim the deficit down to two goals. However, the Dons regained their composure and held on for the win.

Rose Nelley scored three goals and earned three exclusions, while Jules Horton was all over the pool with two goals, three assists, four steals and four exclusions earned.

Violette Bailey scored twice, and Sasha Jones anchored the defensive effort with five saves and two steals.

The Dons (21-7) will take on Ventura in the first round of the Channel League Tournament on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at San Marcos.
