Santa Maria Elks Rodeo is proud to announce its Jr. Barrelman Contest.
Each contestant will be judged on appearance, personality, self-confidence, and promptly and correctly answering interview questions. The deadline to apply is Monday, March 16.
If you’re athletic, energetic, and funny, the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo invites you to apply for the Jr. Barrelman position! All applicants must be between the ages of 7 and 11 by December 31, 2026.
If selected as our official 2026 Jr. Barrelman, you will receive a Resistol Hat, Justin Boots, Belt Buckle, and other exciting prizes. Our winner for Jr. Barrelman will also be performing in the arena during Mutton Bustin’ as well as bringing awareness to our youth on how they too can get involved in the rodeo.

Miss Mini Rodeo Contest
Santa Maria Elks Rodeo is proud to announce that the 2026 Miss Mini Rodeo Contest is now open.
Each contestant will be judged on appearance, western fashion, posture, personality, self-confidence, and promptly and correctly answering interview questions. The deadline for applying is Monday, March 16.
All applicants must be between the ages of 7 and 11 by December 31, 2026. If selected as our 2026 Miss Mini Rodeo, you will be given a Resistol Hat, Justin Boots, Sash, Crown, Belt Buckle, and other prizes. As the winner of Miss Mini Rodeo you will be our ambassador for the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo and many other events, as well as bringing more awareness to our youth about Rodeo.
