The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is updating the public counter hours at the Administration Office to improve access to services for city residents.

The Recreation and Parks Administration Office is at 615 S. McClelland St.

Beginning Monday, March 23, the Recreation and Parks Administration public counter will be open during the following hours:

Monday through Thursday:

9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Fridays:

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

City residents may visit the Administration Office to register for recreation programs such as swimming lessons, pay registration fees, reserve park and facility rentals, and pick up printed copies of the Recreation Guide.

The updated schedule will be implemented as a trial period to evaluate how well the new hours accommodate community needs and improve access to in-person services. Feedback and usage during this period will help inform future operating hours.
