The seniors shined on Senior Day for Santa Barbara’s girls water polo team in a 12-3 home win over Agoura Thursday.

Fresno State-bound Maria Bittle scored a goal and “played great center defense,” Dons coach Mark Walsh said. And UC San Diego-bound “controlled both ends of the pool with her center defense and post up play.”

Ella Maclear scored a goal to go with three steals and an assist, while Siena Kelly scored two goals and earned an exclusion.

“Kait Klawuhn’s passing and help defense helped keep Agoura to one goal in the last three quarters,” Walsh said.

“The seniors have been an amazing selfless group of athletes,” Walsh said. “They have been incredibly hard-working in the classroom and the pool.  Every day they show how you should treat others. We are so lucky to have them represent our program.”

The Dons’ win comes on the heels of lopsided wins Tuesday over Oxnard and Pacifica. Over three days, Santa Barbara has outscored the three opponents by a combined score of 40-5.

The Dons are now 11-9 overall and 4-1 in Channel League play. They host Dos Pueblos at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
