Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a summer burglary at a Goleta jewelry store, where they estimate that millions of dollars worth of jewelry was stolen.

Detectives believe Baroness Jewelers at 5730 Calle Real was burgled in the early morning hours of Aug. 15, and that it shares similarities with other recent jewelry store burglaries across California, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Some of the stolen jewelry may have belonged to customers who had items at Baroness Jewelers for repair or resale, authorities said.

Investigators want to identify specific stolen items to connect suspects to the burglary and recover the stolen property, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

As of this week, authorities said no arrests have been made. Local detectives are working with other law enforcement agencies investigating similar jewelry theft cases.
