A 3.0-magnitude earthquake was reported near Carpinteria Tuesday morning and was felt along the South Coast. 

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the temblor at 10:51 a.m. with an epicenter 3.6 miles southeast of Carpinteria in southern Santa Barbara County. 

USGS has a community internet intensity map (Did You Feel It?), which shows the impact wasn’t widely felt outside the Carpinteria area for this one.
