A stretch of warm winter weather is in the forecast for Santa Barbara County, with sunny days and daytime temperatures in the 80s this week.

The National Weather Service forecast shows high temperatures in the 80s across the county starting Wednesday and lasting through Saturday in some areas.

Santa Barbara and the South Coast will have daytime highs in the 80s through Saturday, and then the mid-to-high 70s, according to forecasters.

Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley will see highs in the 80s as well, peaking at 87 degrees on Thursday.

The Santa Maria and Lompoc valleys will have high temperatures in the mid-70s on Wednesday and then the low- to mid-80s through Friday.

The National Weather Service issued a small craft advisory in effect through 4 a.m. Thursday for the ocean offshore Santa Barbara County, including the Channel Islands, due to hazardous sea conditions.

This warm weather comes after a week of wet and windy storms.

Santa Barbara County has had an above-average rainfall year, so local reservoirs are full and water agencies have strong reserves.

As of Tuesday, no rain was in the long-term weather forecast for the region.
