The Downtown Santa Barbara Improvement Association (DSBIA) is bringing back its free salsa and bachata dance series this spring with dancing 6-8 p.m. every Wednesday in April in front of M. Special Brewing Company and Downtown Eats, 634 State St.

Dance dates are April 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Participants of all skill levels are welcome.

Each event will begin with complimentary salsa instruction, 6-7 p.m., led by instructor Brenda Ruiz, followed by open social dancing, 7-8 p.m.

Looking ahead, the dance series will continue with Kickin’ Country Line Dancing in May and West Coast Swing Dancing in June.
