Santa Barbara Police are searching for a woman who robbed a bank on the city’s Eastside Tuesday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched shortly after 1 p.m. to the Mechanic’s Bank branch at 914 Carpinteria St.
“A female suspect entered the bank and informed the teller that she was armed with a gun, though no weapon was seen,” Sgt. Bryan Kerr said.
The woman was described as being in her mid-to-late 20s, with long light brown hair wearing a light pink sweatshirt and black leggings.
She left on a bike southbound on Milpas Street with an undisclosed amount of money, Kerr said.
No injuries were reported.
