The Santa Barbara Zoo’s Zoofari Ball: Jungle After Dark, celebrating all things wild, will be held Saturday, Aug. 24.
The Zoofari Ball charitable event invites participants to enjoy the zoo after dark while supporting the preservation, conservation, and enhancement of the natural world, including all the animals at the Santa Barbara Zoo.
While Zoofari Ball tickets are sold out, prospective participants can join the wait list here.
Under the night sky on the zoo’s hilltop, ball attendees can dance to live music until dawn approaches. Rincon Events will serve food, and adult drinks will be offered. All participants must be ages 21 or older.
“Zoofari Ball is our most anticipated event of the year, bringing together our community to celebrate and support the Santa Barbara Zoo’s mission,” said Rich Block, president/CEO of the Santa Barbara Zoo.
“This outstanding evening under the stars not only highlights the beauty and wonder of wildlife but also underscores the vital importance of our conservation efforts,” he said.
“We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our attendees, sponsors and volunteers. Their generosity enables us to continue providing exceptional care for our animals and educational programs that inspire future generations,” Block said.
“This year’s event is especially significant to me as it will be my last serving as president and CEO of the zoo, so I hope you’ll join us for an unforgettable night that makes a significant impact on the preservation of wildlife,” he said.
A highlight of Zoofari Ball is the Travel Raffle, this year offering the chance to win a getaway for two to Tahiti and Bora Bora.
The raffle is not limited to event guests; anyone 18+ can participate. Tickets cost $100 each and only 300 will be sold. Full details here.
