Actress Heather Locklear on Friday pleaded no contest to reckless driving, avoiding a driving under the influence charge that was filed after her Sept. 27 arrest on East Valley Road.
As part of a plea deal with Santa Barbara County prosecutors, Locklear, 47, was fined $700, sentenced to a three-year informal probation, and ordered to complete a 12-hour driving-safety class, according to her attorney, Blair Berk, who filed the plea.
Locklear, the former star of Melrose Place, was pulled over by a California Highway Patrol officer on East Valley at Live Oaks Road after a celebrity photographer reported her driving erratically from Montecito’s Upper Village. Officers arrested Locklear after performing a DUI test and she was charged in November with driving under the influence of prescription medication.
