The Santa Barbara County Taxpayers Association is sponsoring a debate on the Measure A-2008 Transportation Investment Plan for Santa Barbara County.
Measure supporter Andy Caldwell, executive director of the Coalition of Labor, Agriculture and Business, will debate measure opponent Eugene Wilson, a Santa Barbara attorney. The proposed measure would provide more than $1 billion of estimated local sales tax revenues for transportation projects for the next 30 years.
The debate will be at noon June 12 at Andersons Pea Soup in Buellton. The cost is $25 and includes a buffet lunch.
