In a commitment to public safety and an enhanced community presence in western Goleta, Camino Real Marketplace has donated office space, with recently completed interior improvements and communication upgrades, for the Goleta Police Department’s new Marketplace Station.
Goleta Mayor Michael Bennett, Sheriff Bill Brown and Camino Real Marketplace owner Mark Linehan will be joined by civic leaders in welcoming the city of Goleta and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department () to the state-of-the-art facility. The event will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
During the festivities, Ellwood School fourth-graders will participate in several activities to increase their awareness of public safety principles and learn about the various programs that will be coordinated through the substation, including D.A.R.E. and Explorers.
