A view of the redwood canopy several hundred feet above in Founders Grove in the heart of Humboldt Redwoods State Park. We involuntarily donated our own blood to the grove’s ecosystem via the swarms of mosquitoes, but still left in awe of these 2,000-year-old giants and the tranquil forest floor they create below. Taken with Canon 50D, Tamron 11-17mm lens.
