Thirteen people were displaced after an early morning structure fire in Goleta on Friday.

Emergency crews first responded to the 100 block of Tecolote Avenue at approximately 4 a.m. for a report of a structure fire involving a detached backyard shed, according to Santa Barbara County Fire Department spokesperson Karen Cruz-Orduña.

“The fire extended to a back home and nearby tree but was quickly contained,” Cruz-Orduña said.

No injuries were reported and the cause was under investigation.

Crews were still on scene around 6 a.m.

The American Red Cross has been notified to help those who were displaced, per Cruz-Orduña.
