Two people were injured Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 101 just south of Gaviota State Park, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
A Dodge pickup veered off the southbound highway and overturned shortly after noon, said fire Capt. Scott Safechuck.
The vehicle came to rest about 150 feet of the roadway with two male occupants inside, he added.
Firefighters used the hydraulic Jaws of Life tool to free the occupants from the wreckage, which took about 15 minutes.
One patient suffered moderate injuries while the other had minor injuries, Safechuck said. They were taken by American Medical Response ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Their names and details on their conditions were not available.
A dog that was also in the pickup truck was uninjured in the crash.
One southbound lane was closed for a time after the crash, which was under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
