One person sustained major injuries in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 101 north of Gaviota Tuesday afternoon, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Emergency crews responded to a report of a collision on southbound Highway 101 north of Highway 1 around 3:30 p.m.
A single vehicle had rolled over “after contact with a tree on the shoulder,” County Fire Capt. Mike Gray said.
Two people were transported to the hospital by ground ambulance, one with major injuries and the other with minor injuries, Gray said.
All lanes of the highway were open as of 4:30 p.m.
The cause of the collision was under investigation, per Gray.
“Please drive carefully in the area,” he said.
