The Santa Barbara Fair & Expo’s Meet Me at The Fair theme, held in April 2022 and produced by Earl Warren Showgrounds, has won 15 awards for the Small Fair category (under 50,000 attendance) at the Western Fairs Association’s annual convention and trade show.

Founded in 1922 and incorporated in 1945, Western Fairs Association (WFA) is a non-profit trade association serving the fair industry throughout the western United States and Canada.

The association’s primary purpose is to assist in maintaining the highest professional standards within the fair industry through a voluntary network of individuals and organizations.

The main objective of WFA is to promote the prosperity of fairs through educational activities, training programs and legislative advocacy.

Local advertising agency 1.62 Creative Group presided over the marketing campaign, media strategy, TV and radio concept and production, social media ad designs, graphic designs, and press releases.

The 15 awards presented to Santa Barbara Fair & Expo are:

First place: Overall Marketing Campaign, Fair Commemorative Poster, Fair Logo, Spanish TV Ad, Spanish Radio Ad, Social Media Ads, Photo – Entertainment & Grounds Acts.

Ssecond Place: English TV Ad, English TV Series of Ads, English Radio Ad, English Radio Series of Ads, Carnival Photo.

Third Place: Fair Program Schedule, Photo – Animals with or without People, Photo – People at the Fair.
