Santa Barbara Channelkeeper will host its 22nd Blue Water Ball benefit, 5-9 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at the seaside Cabrillo Pavilion, 1118 E. Cabrillo Blvd., Santa Barbara.

The Blue Water Ball raises key funds that make it possible for the organization to protect local beaches, creeks and coast, and defend the community’s right to clean water and healthy habitats.

The celebratory event brings together ocean enthusiasts and activists, civic leaders, business owners, and public officials.

This year, Ryan Gellert, CEO of Patagonia, will join the program in A Channelside Chat with Ted Morton, Channelkeeper executive director. Andrew Firestone will be the evening’s emcee.

Guests will enjoy a multicourse dinner, local wines and brews, live music, a raffle, and auctions for art, gear, and outdoor adventures.

“We look forward to gathering with our community of supporters,” said Morton. “We’re excited to honor the many positive actions that Channelkeeper has achieved for clean water in our area and highlight the important work ahead.”

Channelkeeper works to protect and restore the Santa Barbara Channel and its watersheds through science-based advocacy, education, fieldwork and enforcement.
