Charlotte Raisin, a recent San Marcos High graduate who is headed to USC, is on the team after helping the U.S. Junior National Team to a title last summer at the World Aquatics U20 World Championships in Brazil.
She’ll be joined on the youth squad by SBWPC club teammates Fabros, a Stanford freshman from Simi Valley, and Bygrave, a senior at Oaks Christian High and a UCLA commit.
The youth world championships are being held in Tenerife, Spain. Team USA begins group play Sunday against China and faces host Spain on Monday and Croatia on Tuesday.
A couple of weeks ago, the USA Water Polo Women’s Senior National Team won the championship at the World Aquatics World Cup. That team included four local players: Ryann Neushul, Paige Hauschild, Lucy Haaland-Ford and Ava Styker.
