The northbound side of Highway 101 near Montecito briefly closed Saturday afternoon after a 3-vehicle traffic collision, according to Montecito Fire Protection District spokesperson Christina Atchinson.
Traffic was still backed up through Summerland just before 4 p.m.
Three people were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, per Atchinson.
They sustained minor injuries in the collision, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Emergency crews with Montecito Fire, the Santa Barbara City Fire Department and CHP first responded to the highway between Sheffield Drive and San Ysidro Road at around 3 p.m.
Emergency radio traffic indicated that all three vehicles involved were a white Toyota Camry, a grey Honda Civic and a silver Ford truck.
