The VNA Health 25th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, will celebrate Katina Zaninovich as Honored Mother and Nancy Koppelman as Remembered Mother with Andrew Firestone returning as master of ceremonies in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort.
As the luncheon draws near, VNA Health has raised more than $360,000 of its $400,000 goal to support the charitable mission and Community Care programs of VNA Health.
“For the good of the whole community, VNA Health was founded as a nonprofit healthcare organization in 1908 by a group of public-spirited and far-sighted women led by an exceptional nurse Marian Watts,” event organizers said.
“Santa Barbara County has been fortunate to have remarkable women and compassionate caregivers who have shaped the legacy of our community’s character, health, and ability to live well,” they said.
“So in honor of amazing mothers and caregivers, VNA Health invites the community to gather each year on the Friday before Mother’s Day for its distinguished and beloved Mother’s Day Luncheon to celebrate two mothers – one living and one in memory – and to share the gratitude for their lives and contributions to our community,” organizers said.
As the only certified nonprofit home health care and hospice care agency in Santa Barbara County committed to a charitable mission, VNA Health thanks donors, sponsors, and supporters for sustaining its legacy of caring for our communities for more than 118 years.
The VNA Health Community Care programs and services are dependent upon the generosity of the community to help ensure that VNA Health continues to bring health, comfort, and a quality of life to all Santa Barbara County families, wherever they call home.
