A four-count felony complaint was filed Wednesday against a Santa Barbara man who allegedly engaged in multiple sex acts with a teenage girl more than 20 years ago.
The Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office filed the complaint against Peter Aibor Jeschke, 50, who was arrested last week by sheriff’s detectives.
Prosecutors allege that in 2000, Jeschke, a tennis instructor and former local high school coach, committed multiple sexual crimes against the girl, who was identified in court as Jane Doe.
“Jane Doe was 15 years old when she met the defendant, a then 26-year-old tennis instructor and coach in Santa Barbara and Montecito,” said Sarah Barkley, deputy district attorney. “The defendant allegedly engaged in numerous sexual acts with Jane Doe when she was 15 and 16 years old.
“Jane Doe came forward to tell her story for the first time after remaining silent for over 20 years.”
The complaint accuses Jeschke of four felonies: two counts of lewd or lascivious acts on a person 14 or 15 years of age, and two counts of oral copulation on a person under 16 years of age.
Jeschke was released from County Jail custody after posting $100,000 bail, and is due back in Superior Court in Santa Barbara on April 3 for arraignment.
The Sheriff’s Office said its investigation is ongoing, and anyone with additional information is asked to contact Deputy Jaycee Hunter at 805.681.4100.
Those who prefer to remain anonymous can provide information by calling the department’s tip line at 805.681.4171 or online at SBSheriff.org.
Online Santa Barbara Superior Court records show that Jeschke has previous convictions, in 2009 and 2011, for sex acts with a minor and other charges.
He received probation in the first case, and was sentenced to state prison in the second. He also was ordered to register as a sex offender.
