Five people were displaced Friday night by a residential structure fire in western Goleta, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

Firefighters were dispatched shortly before 9 p.m. to the blaze on Saint George Place.

Upon arrival, they found flames and smoke coming from the single-family home, and began an aggressive attack on the fire.

The fire was contained to two rooms of the home, and was knocked down at about 9:30 p.m., fire Capt. Mike Gray told Noozhawk.

No injuries were reported.

The American Red Cross was called in to provide housing for the home’s residents, who were described as young adults.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
