Six local boys tennis squads impressed throughout the 2025 regular season and, as a result, they punched their tickets into the CIF-SS playoffs.
Here is a look at the first-round matchups for every local team. All first-round games will be on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
Santa Barbara High (Div. 2)
The Dons finished the regular season tied atop the Channel League standings after turning in an impressive 14-3 record, earning a spot in the Div. 2 playoffs.
Santa Barbara will be on the road for round one against Palm Desert, which went 12-1 in the regular season and won the Desert Empire League.
San Marcos (Div. 3)
The Royals shared the Channel League title with Santa Barbara High and tallied a 12-7 overall record along the way to be placed in Div. 3.
San Marcos will host Fairmont Prep, which is 10-6 and finished second in the San Joaquin League, in the opening round of the playoffs.
Cate (Div. 3)
The Rams had a strong season of their own, winning the Tri-Valley League and putting together a record of 9-1 to end up in Div. 3.
Cate will hit the road to begin its playoff run, visiting a Burroughs High team that is 6-6 and finished in fourth place in the Pacific League.
Dos Pueblos (Div. 4)
The Chargers slotted right behind Santa Barbara and San Marcos in the Channel League standings, going 8-5 and picking up a spot in the Div. 4 playoffs.
Dos Pueblos will roll out the welcome mats for Golden Valley, a 15-4 squad that placed third in the Foothill League.
Laguna Blanca (Div. 5)
The Owls turned in a 7-4 regular season, placing fourth in the Tri-Valley League and punching their ticket into the Div. 5 playoffs.
Laguna Blanca will head down to Perris for a first-round matchup with Liberty High, which went 12-6 in the regular season and tied for second in the Sunbelt league.
Carpinteria (Div. 6)
The Warriors rounded out the local teams heading to the postseason after going 5-10 in the regular season and coming in third in the Citrus Coast League to land in Div. 6.
Carpinteira will begin its playoff journey away from home, traveling to take on Jurupa Valley, a 13-6 team coming off a second-place finish in the River Valley League.
