Just in time for Santa Barbara’s inclement weather, Heat Holders, makers of thermal socks, has donated more than 500 new pairs of mens and womens socks to Doctors Without Walls-Santa Barbara Street Medicine (DWW-SBSM) and the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission (SBRM).
Heat Holders gives back through the Making Life Warmer Project. So far, the company has donated thousands of products in an effort to keep people a little warmer. Designed with long loop pile weaving and inner brushing, Heat Holders thermal socks are five times warmer than traditional cotton socks.
For 15 years, DWW–SBSM has provided free on-the-street medical care to Santa Barbara County’s most vulnerable residents when and where they need it, which has been especially critical during the pandemic.
The SBRM is a ministry of Christian people bringing physical, emotional, educational and spiritual resources to all who struggle with homelessness and addiction. During cold weather, shelters like the SBRM are facing even more limited capacity to adhere to COVID-19 distancing protocols, making donations of warm clothing more essential.
According to testing so far, Heat Holders are the warmest thermal wear products in the world, offering socks for men, women and children.
