Sandra Dickerson has been elected president of the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society (SMPS) Board of Directors.

Jed Beebe, long-time board president, has been named president emeritus in recognition of his years of service to the organization. Beebe will continue as an active supporter and representative of the organization.

Dickerson has been on the SMPS Board of Directors since 2021. She is owner/CEO of Your People Professionals of Santa Maria, and previously served as chair of the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce.

“I am looking forward to working with the the Santa Maria Philharmonic as its board president,” Dickerson said. “Our 2023-24 season is beginning in earnest, and we’re all very excited about our concerts and educational offerings.”

In addition to the naming of Dickerson and Beebe, two new Board Directors have been elected, Norman Hardy of Lompoc and Philip F. Sinco of Santa Maria.
