“Thriller” dancers have been taking their zombie flash-mobs up and down the Central Coast this week as they get ready for the Thrill the World event, 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Courthouse Sunken Gardens in Santa Barbara.

Community members are invited to wear costumes and join the festivities.

Zombies have been spotted on the roof of Paseo Nuevo for Spooky Movie Night; at the Moxi Museum; on the Libbey Bowl stage at Ojai Day Festival; in the Santa Ynez Valley at Roblar Winery; in Solvang Park; stopping traffic at the Los Olivos flagpole; and paying tribute to Michael Jackson at Neverland Ranch.

Thriller is hosted in Santa Barbara by World Dance for Humanity, a nonprofit that turns dance into humanitarian aid by using donations to help genocide survivors in Rwanda build new lives; provide direct aid to Ukraine; and offer scholarships to the Westside Boys & Girls Club.
