The Santa Barbara Chamber Players invites the community to a fundraising concert, 3 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 909 N. La Cumbre Road.
The concert will feature performances by local musicians, all in support of the ensemble’s continued mission to bring accessible classical music to the Santa Barbara area.
The program will showcase three dynamic and contrasting chamber works:
• Eric Ewazen’s “Cumberland Suite,” a vibrant, lyrical work performed by a woodwind quintet, highlighting Ewazen’s signature blend of rich harmonies and Americana flair.
• Carl Nielsen’s “Serenata in Vano,” a light-hearted piece for a mixed wind and string quintet, full of playful character and wit.
• Franz Schubert’s “Octet in F major, Op. 40,” one of the cornerstones of the chamber music repertoire, known for its expansive scope, melodic beauty, and warm ensemble writing.
Proceeds from this concert will directly support the Santa Barbara Chamber Players’ 2025-26 season, including low-cost concerts, educational outreach, and collaborations with local artists.
Admission is $20. Tickets can be purchased at www.santabarbarachamberplayers.org or at the door.
