The city of Goleta, in partnership with the UC Master Gardener Program of Santa Barbara County, is offering the community a new gardening workshop for the fall season.
Titled Success with Succulents, the workshop will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Goleta Community Center, 5679 Hollister Ave.
The workshop will teach participants about a variety of topics related to succulents including, but not limited to:
- Selecting the right containers and soil for healthy growth.
- Best practices for watering and overall succulent care.
- How to propagate new plants from existing ones.
- Tips for identifying and treating common problems.
Participants will be able to create and take home their own succulent bowl. The workshop includes a $10 material fee for the succulent bowl.
