Goleta can never have too many doughnut shops.
Drover’s Doughnuts plans to open its new Goleta location at 8 a.m. Saturday. It’s located at 5745 Calle Real, near Trader Joe’s.
Customers can expect to find a range of doughnut flavors as well as bagels, sandwiches and drinks.
The franchise has two other locations, one in Solvang and another in Buellton.

Isla Vista Deli Closes Its Doors
Yetz’s Deli is leaving Isla Vista, but the popular bagel spot will remain.
The deli shop has officially closed its Isla Vista location, located next to Yetz’s Bagels at 901 Embarcadero Del Mar, Suite 103.
Although Google indicates that the deli is temporarily closed, Noozhawk has confirmed that the shop has closed permanently.

However, the bagel shop is still open and taking orders.
The company is also planning to open new locations, including one in the same plaza as Target on Hollister Avenue in Goleta.
The new shop will be located next to Chipotle and Rusty’s Pizza and is expected to open later this year.
Makenna Koffee Arriving in Isla Vista
In other Isla Vista news, a new Hawaiian-themed coffee shop will be making its arrival this spring.
Makenna Koffee posted an image to Instagram announcing the new location and telling residents that it looks forward to meeting them. The shop will be located at 6521 Pardall Road.
The store offers coffee-based drinks, teas, pastries and more.
The franchise also has locations in Ventura, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and Camarillo.
Ghirardelli Offering Free Sundaes
State Street’s newest chocolate shop will be offering sundaes for the first 100 people during its grand opening event.
Ghirardelli Chocolate Company in Santa Barbara will be hosting a ribbon-cutting on Jan. 22 as part of its official grand opening.
The ribbon-cutting is set for 3:15 p.m., and then the first 100 guests will be given free mini sundaes and a tote bag at the 509 State St. location.
“We’re excited to plant roots in this beautiful community, creating a place to gather with friends and family over an ice cream sundae or enjoy a sweet treat while on vacation,” Lacey Zane, vice president of restaurant and retail at Ghirardelli, said in a statement.
“With Ghirardelli’s rich history in California, this beautiful location on Santa Barbara’s State Street is the perfect place for us to expand our vision of Making Life a Bite Better for our guests, and we can’t wait to welcome them here soon.”
The new State Street location is the 19th Ghirardelli store in California.
Old Hotel Gets a New Look
The hotel formerly known as Milo Hotel got a facelift and a new name.
Now known as The Milo, Hotel by the Sea, the classic hotel has undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation and is offering deals for guests.
The hotel is offering 15% off for guests who book one of the hotel’s 120 rooms between now and Feb. 2 for stays before Dec. 31.
The Milo has gone through multiple makeovers over the years. The site was the home to the Potter Hotel before being rebranded as Hotel Milo in 2014. The name was meant to celebrate the original owner, Milo Potter.
Community Bancorp of Santa Maria Announces Share Repurchase Program
Community Bancorp of Santa Maria and its subsidiary, Community Bank of Santa Maria, have announced that it will be conducting a share repurchase program.
The company plans to purchase 21,080 shares of its common stock, or approximately 1% of its outstanding shares as of last Dec. 31.
“The share repurchase plan underscores the confidence the Board of Directors and management have in the strategic direction of the Company,” said Janet Silveria, the company president and CEO. “We believe that this decision reinforces our commitment to delivering long-term shareholder value. It is made possible by our disciplined approach to capital allocation and consistent financial performance.”
The share purchase will begin after a 90-day waiting period and end on Dec. 31.
