For those who are working or otherwise unable to receive ashes at Mass on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18, Fr. Egren Gomez, pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church, is offering Drive Through Ashes, 3-4 p.m. in the church parking lot, 1740 Cliff Drive, Santa Barbara.

“For those who treasure receiving ashes as part of their faith, simply proceed to the parking lot, remain in your vehicle, roll down your window, request ashes, and they will be placed on your forehead,” the church said.

This is the third Ash Wednesday this service has been offered.
