The person found deceased on the beach below the Mesa in Santa Barbara earlier this week has been identified as Ryan Quinn, 53, of Isla Vista, according to Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Bureau spokesperson Raquel Zick.

The cause and manner of death were pending, Zick said.

Emergency personnel responded to the area east of Mesa Lane Steps just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday for a report of a possibly deceased person.

They found Quinn’s body near the rocks and base of the cliff.

Santa Barbara Police Sgt. Bryan Kerr said that no signs of foul play were discovered.
