The Santa Maria Public Library offers a variety of monthly book clubs for adults. Each meeting is held in the library’s Learning Loft, 421 S. McClelland St.
Patrons interested in participating in the book clubs may register by visiting the library’s online events calendar, or by calling 805-925-0994 ext. 8562. Book clubs include light refreshments and lively discussion.

• The Valley Reads will explore “The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store” by James McBride; 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7.
• Junk Journal Book Club will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 7 to discuss “Intermezzo” by Sally Rooney, and continue crafting junk journals.
• For fans of contemporary romance fiction, the Flirty Fiction Book Club will talk about “One Last Stop” by Casey McQuiston, 5:15 p.m. Monday, March 16.
