The motorcyclist killed in a collision south of Orcutt Saturday afternoon was a Riverside County man, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Bureau said Monday.

Timothy Greene, 64, of Corona, died in a traffic collision involving two motorcycles.

Emergency crews responded to the area where northbound Highway 135 onramp meets Highway 1 around 3:30 p.m., according to the County Fire Department.

One rider was declared deceased at the scene, later identified as Greene. The second motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man from Huntington Beach in Orange County, was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.

The investigation into the collision’s cause was ongoing, California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer Maria Barriga said Monday.
