More than 50 vendors will be on hand for the annual Lompoc Senior Health Expo, May 15, at Dick DeWees Community and Senior Center.

The event, which features resources, demonstrations, giveaways and more will be held 9 a.m.-noon at the DeWees Center, 1120 W. Ocean Ave.

The Expo is a free, comprehensive annual event for older adults and their caregivers to have health screenings; partake in activities; learn about nutrition and health; connect with resources and experts; and enjoy a free, healthy lunch and prize giveaways.

There will be a free fruit and vegetable distribution from Route One Farmers Market.

The Expo is a partnership of the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation and the Lompoc Recreation Division, along with Route One Farmers Market.

Attendees will be able to access information about Medicare, fall prevention, insurance, dementia, advanced directives, and scam prevention. Vendors will provide eye exams, blood pressure checks and more.

Among the vendors will be the Alzheimer’s Association, Senior Living Resources, Geriatric Care Management and Dementia Consulting, Vandenberg Village Lions Club, Senior Connections, Valley Haven, Savie Health, Family Service Agency, and American Red Cross.

Also, LVMC’s Comprehensive Care Center, CommUnify, Family Service Agency, Transitions Mental Health Association, and Unity Shoppe.
