The Board of Directors of the 37th District Agricultural Association (DAA), which produces the Santa Barbara County Fair, has accepted the resignation of CEO Caitlin Miller, effective March 14.

Miller has been employed with the DAA in the lead position since March 2022. She has chosen to pursue new opportunities within the produce sales industry and will continue to reside in the Santa Maria Valley, the DAA said.

“Our team has been very happy with Caitlin’s innovative approach to our organization and the potential for the future. Through her efforts the DAA recently completed a comprehensive Strategic Plan known as Vision 2030. She will be missed” said Board President, Kevin Merrill of Los Olivos.

The board will begin a search for a CEO shortly.

The Santa Maria Valley Strawberry Festival is planned for April 25-27, and the Santa Barbara County Fair, July 9-13. Both events are produced by the 37th DAA.
