Albert “Al” Guerra passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on Dec. 29, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois, to Julia and Albert Guerra, Al grew up with his sisters Delores (deceased) and Virginia.
He graduated from Loyola University in 1961 with a bachelor of science in commerce and marketing, and went on to have a highly successful sales career.
In 1958, Al married the love of his life, Gerry, who preceded him in death in 2013. Together they raised their family in Orange County, California, before retiring to Las Vegas, Nevada.
In his later years, Albert was fortunate to share a special companionship for five wonderful years with Diane Bunson, whose friendship, care and presence brought him adventure, happiness, joy and love.
Al is survived by his daughter Christi (Dave); his grandchildren Jason (Monica), Jenna (Jake) and Jack; and his partner Diane.
Al loved the Chicago Cubs, the S&P 500, golf, ballet, musicals, music, travel, strawberry ice cream, and, above all, his family.
Known for his humor, optimism, and remarkable ability to talk to anyone, he brought warmth and laughter wherever he went.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Celebration of life will be held on July 18 in the Arbor at the Encina Royale Clubhouse.
